Winning symbols will explode and disappear, allowing new ones to drop into place, potentially leading to more wins. When three Scatter symbols land in the base game, 7 Hostage Spins are triggered, and the bottom position on reel 3 is unlocked. Each time a full Con Man Wild lands, the Con Man Wild win multiplier increases by +1, and a character symbol is upgraded to the highest-paying one for the remaining spins, following a predetermined order. Initially, the lowest-paying symbol is chosen; the second time, the next lowest, and so on. A full Con Man Wild also awards an additional spin. Throughout the Hostage Spins, the xBomb® multiplier remains sticky, and landing a Scatter symbol adds an extra spin. Landing four Scatter symbols in the base game triggers 8 Syndrome Spins, played on a 3-4-4-4-4-3 reel grid. During this mode, the Con Man Wild can land on reels 3 and 4, nudging up or down until fully visible. Character symbols are collected from the four middle reels whenever the Con Man Wild lands, with double the symbols collected if there are two Con Man Wilds. The collect meter can exceed 5, and once all meters are full, the Syndrome feature is triggered. In this mode, reel 3 becomes covered by a Wild symbol with a win multiplier, which starts at 2 and increases by +1 for each additional collected symbol beyond 5. Reel 4 gains an additional position that reveals a random symbol of size 2, affecting all occurrences of that symbol on the reels by making them the same size, with the size increasing for each extra collected symbol beyond 5. Reels 2 and 5 split each symbol into 2, with the split size increasing by +1 for each extra collected symbol beyond 5. Each time a full Con Man Wild lands, it awards an additional spin, and Scatter symbols add an extra spin during Syndrome Spins. The xBomb® multiplier remains sticky throughout this feature as well.
