Players start off by placing their bets and selecting their preferred level of volatility, represented as the number of boots. Using the arrows located left of the main grid, they can choose to have between one to ten boots on the grid. The more boots chosen, the bigger the cash prize and the higher the risk.

Players then select tiles within the grid to reveal either a fish symbol, which increases your prize pot, or the mine, shown in-game as the boot, which ends the game. In addition, the boot means the player loses all their accumulated cash prizes previously won.
After each successful selection, the game awards the player with an additional increase in cash values. Players can continue selecting remaining tiles to bag the Maximum Win, or they have the option of cashing out.
